Mental Health Awareness Coalition

MISSION

To educate the public regarding understanding, awareness and acceptance of mental health issues in the general community, while working to reduce stigma and discrimination associated with mental health in adults and children.

MHAC is a 501 C(3) non-profit organization

What We Do

• The Coalition identifies and plans events that will promote mental health awareness and eliminate stigma associated with mental illness.
• Through fundraising, the coalition sponsors the following events: 
  • The Candlelight Celebration
  • Art Festival
  • Youth Picnic
  • Youth Poster Contest
• We provide a Mental Health Awareness scholarship available for persons living with a mental illness in honor of the work of Dr. Max Dine and Marilyn Racer for their many years of dedicated service on behalf of the mental health community
